Sharan London, Executive
Director
Sharan
London joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless as
Executive Director in 1996. In this capacity she has lead advocacy
efforts on behalf of homeless men, women and children in Montgomery
County, oversaw the expansion of the Men’s Emergency Shelter,
and directed the establishment of the Home First, Cordell Place,
Partnership for Permanent Housing, Safe Haven, and Seneca Heights
Apartments programs. In addition, Ms. London is responsible for
the creation of MCCH’s affiliate, Coalition Homes, Inc. She
is at the forefront of efforts to end homelessness in the county,
was instrumental in the development of our local Ten Year Plan to
end homelessness, and is a nationally recognized speaker on issues
related to homelessness and affordable housing. Prior to coming
to MCCH, she held volunteer and staff positions with Associated
Catholic Charities. Ms. London currently serves on several
board and advisory committees.
Julie Maltzman, Deputy Director for Programs
Julie
Maltzman joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless
in 2005 and has served as the Deputy Director of Programs since
2006. In this position, Ms. Maltzman oversees all of MCCH’s
housing and supportive services programs. She has a wide range
of experience, having worked on behalf of, and with, low-income
and homeless people in Montgomery County since 1993. At both
Interfaith Works and Bethesda Cares she professionalized
services, and expanded and established new programs. She collaborated
on the formation of Ministries United Silver Spring-Takoma Park,
the Upcounty Interfaith Clothing Center and the Furniture Exchange
and was a founding board member of the Montgomery Volunteer Dental
Clinic and the Emergency Assistance Network. Ms. Maltzman is a graduate
of the Nonprofit Leadership Institute and currently serves on several
county boards.
John O'Brien, Director of Development and Communications John O’Brien is currently the Director of Development and Communications at the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, managing all fundraising and long-term development and communications programs for the benefit of MCCH. John has worked in development for over 10 years identifying, cultivating and soliciting major donors for various educational and health related organizations. John has worked as Associate Director for Undergraduate Class Programs for Georgetown University, Associate Director for the GW Parents Campaign at George Washington University and recently Director of Development for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation. John has experience in corporate and foundation relations as well as annual fund and planned giving strategies. He is currently a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) D.C. Chapter.
Joanne Lam, Controller
Darrell Butler, Program Director, Home Builders Care Assessment Center (Formerly known as the Men’s Emergency Shelter)
Darrell
Butler joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless in
2007 as the Program Director of the Home Builders Care Assessment Center (formerly known as the Men’s Emergency Shelter) . Prior to joining MCCH, he worked for eleven years as the
Housing Programs Director for Community Ministries of Rockville
providing direct supervision of the Chase transitional shelter and the Jefferson House and Hope Housing programs providing permanent
housing for homeless men and women with various disabilities. In
addition, Mr. Butler has over 20 years experience in drug and alcohol
rehabilitation. He has served on various subcommittees addressing
the needs of this population and served on the City of Rockville
Human Service Advisory Committee for 3 years. He also helped develop
MCCH's "Co-occurring Disorders Workbook”.
Anne Donohue, Program Director, Cordell Place
Anne
Donohue, LCSW-C joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless
as Program Director for the Partnership for Permanent Housing in
2006. In this position, Ms. Donohue has overseen the expansion
of the Partnership for Permanent Housing program from serving 50
households at a time to 137 households. She has over ten years of
experience in the human services field, and has more than seven
years of experience providing and overseeing services to the homeless
population. Prior to joining MCCH, Ms. Donohue worked as a Clinical
Supervisor at an outpatient mental health agency in Washington,
DC.
John Enagonio, Director
of Real Estate, Coalition Homes, Inc.
John
Enagonio joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless
in 2007 as the Director of Real Estate for Coalition Homes, Inc.,
MCCH's affiliate organization. Prior to joining Coalition Homes/MCCH,
Mr. Enagonio was a project manager rehabilitating small rental and
homeownership complexes for low-income residents of the Columbia
Heights neighborhood. He is expereienced in tax credits, Community
Development Block Grants and Federal Home Loan Bank subsidies for
affordable housing, as well as municipal housing trust funds. He
also has experience in property management and tenant organizing.
Mr. Enagonio recently received certification as a Housing Development
Finance Professional from the National Development Council.
Alice Forcier, Program Director, Seneca Heights Apartments & Home First
Alice Forcier joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless
in 2003, and is the director of two programs. Seneca Heights Apartments provides transitional housing for families and permanent supportive housing for single adults. She is also the program director for Home First which includes permanent supportive housing for 40 chronically homeless single adults. She has over 16 years experience working with the homelessness population in continuum of care service settings. Prior to employment with the Coalition, Ms. Forcier served on MCCH board for 2 years. She was the director of Greentree Shelter run by the National Center for Children and Families. She had worked at the Ethos Foundation leading psycho-educational groups for adults court ordered into drug/alcohol treatment. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of personnel.
Chandra Harris, Program Director, Partnership for Permanent Housing
Nili Soni, Program Director, Safe Havens & CHIPP
Nili Soni, MSW, joined the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless in 2007 and has been the Program Director for Safe Havens since 2009. Prior to her current position as Program Director, she worked for two years as a case manager with CHIPP, providing case management for homeless individuals who frequently use the emergency medical system and who have repeatedly been incarcerated in the local corrections system (often for “nuisance” crimes e.g. public drunkenness, loitering) achieve a permanent supportive housing. Prior to her joining MCCH, Ms. Soni worked as a social worker at the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Child Welfare Division, where she provided case management to children and families in the Kinship system. Her backgrounds in America as well as in India have provided her ample opportunities to live and work in various contexts with people who represent diverse groups on many complex levels. Ms. Soni holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland with a specialization in Families and Children. She also acquired a Masters degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.
